For a ride on lawnmower service we would recommend budgeting around £300. A service generally includes the following:
Start up & test run
Check general condition for damage
Check battery
Check tyre pressure & condition
Inspect all belts, pulleys, fuel lines, cutting spindles, bearings and housings
Check blade condition & sharpen or replace the blades as necessary
Change oil and filter (if fitted)
Clean, or change, air filter
Clean or renew spark plug(s)
Check full operation of machine & safety systems
This service includes around 5 hours of labour to carry out the checks.
A service for a petrol rotary lawn mower would cost around £90. As part of the service, the following checks are completed and work is carried out:
Check machine starting
Check overall condition of the machine
Clean, sharpen & balance rotary blade
Change engine oil
Clean or change spark plugs as required
Check fuel system
Check, clean and lubricate the wheels
Inspect wheel adjusters
Test run of the machine, with full operation and safety check
As part of the service, there is around 2 and a half hours of labour to complete the work and checks.
